Affiliate Disclosure

How this site makes money, and the wall between that and how products are scored.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We could also earn a fee through some links when you click on them. Buying through our links never costs you more.

How we make money

Fitness Picks is reader-supported. We do not sell advertising, we do not run sponsored posts, and we do not charge brands to be included. Our revenue comes from Amazon's creator programmes, in two forms:

  • Commission on qualifying purchases. If you follow one of our links to Amazon India and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to Amazon directly.
  • Per-click and campaign fees. Through Amazon's Creator Connections and Sponsored Products for Creators programmes, we may earn a fee when you click certain links, whether or not you go on to buy anything. We disclose this on every review rather than only on the pages where it applies, because a per-page flag is something that can be forgotten.

What money does not buy

No brand can pay to appear in a roundup, to rank higher within one, or to have a criticism removed. We do not accept payment for favourable reviews, and we do not give brands advance sight of our scores or the chance to respond before publication.

Commission rates vary by product category, and it would be possible to earn more by pushing expensive products. We rank on our scoring system instead. In practice our top pick is often a mid-priced product, and several of our "best value" picks are among the cheapest items in their roundup — which pay us the least.

How products are chosen and scored

We select products for a roundup based on what is actually available and selling on Amazon India in that category, then research each one: verified buyer reviews, published specifications, and third-party lab and certification records where they exist. Every product is scored on a weighted 10-point system, and the weights are published in the "How We Evaluated" section of each review so you can see what drove the ranking.

We research and compare — we do not run a physical test lab, and we never claim to have tested a product ourselves. Our full method is on the about page.

Prices

Prices in our reviews are taken from the Amazon India product page at the time of publication or last update, and they change often. Always check the current price on Amazon before buying — it is the only one that binds. We are not able to honour a price shown on our pages.

Where the disclosure appears

Every review carries this disclosure near the top, before any affiliate link. It also appears in the footer of every page on the site. Affiliate links themselves are marked up as sponsored links so that search engines and browsers can identify them.

Questions

If something here is unclear, or you think a ranking looks commercially motivated, tell us at contact@fitnesspicks.in. We would rather answer the question than have you wonder.
